Fiji created history with their first-ever appearance at the FIFA U-17 World Cup, marking a proud milestone for the nation despite a tough 6–0 loss to Tunisia in their opening match at the Aspire Zone in Doha.

The Junior Bula Boys began with composure and solid defensive organisation, and goalkeeper Melvin Prakash made key saves as Tunisia applied pressure.

Tunisia led 2–0 at half-time.

Despite the setback, Fiji’s players showed determination, pushing forward to create chances, although they were unsuccessful.

Having gained valuable experience from their World Cup debut, the Junior Bula Boys will now regroup and aim to bounce back stronger when they face Belgium in their second Group C match this Friday.
