The Fiji Kulas are preparing to take on Vanuatu in the second semi-final of the Melanesian Spearhead Group Prime Minister's Cup 2025 in Papua New Guinea.

Head Coach Angeline Chua says they are ensuring the players are fit and get plenty of rest ahead of the crucial clash.

She also noted that the weather has been challenging for the squad.

Chua adds that it was encouraging to see a strong turnout of fans supporting the teams.

The match which was originally scheduled for this afternoon has been rescheduled to tomorrow.

The MSG Cup Host Organising Committee says the change follows adjustments caused by New Caledonia’s earlier withdrawal and the tight match schedule for participating teams.

They say that, in line with MSG and FIFA regulations, teams must receive a minimum of 48 hours’ rest to ensure player safety and wellbeing.

Fiji will now face Vanuatu at 3pm tomorrow, while hosts PNG will take on the Solomon Islands at 12pm in the first semi-final.

Meanwhile, the Bula Boys have also secured their place in the semi-finals and are set to face defending champions PNG at 6pm tomorrow, with Vanuatu taking on the Solomon Islands at 9pm.

The finals will be held on Sunday.
