After being bedridden for nine years following a car accident in Tacirua, Nakaleto Lawakeli has today graduated from the Pacific Regional Seminary, which is a step closer to fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a Catholic priest.
The 35-year-old Bua man endured years of challenges as he recovered from the accident while continuing his studies and remaining committed to what he believes is God’s calling in his life.
He says the call to vocation was planted in his heart from a young age, and despite the obstacles he faced, he never lost sight of his dream.
Lawakeli expressed his gratitude to his parents, siblings, and friends for their unwavering support throughout his journey.
The former Marist Brothers High School student graduated today with a Bachelor of Divinity from the Pacific Regional Seminary.
