Now, serious concerns are being raised on the plight of thousands of residents in areas in Vanua Levu as all forms of communications have been cut off.
Director DISMAC Pajiliai Dobui said they are unable to get on the ground reports from many parts in Labasa, Tukavesi, Saqani, Udu Point, Koro and islands in the Northern Lau group.
We are also doing our best to try and contact people in the areas currently experiencing the full brunt of Hurricane Tomas.
