The All Blacks appeared to provide the blueprint to beat the Wallabies, combining aggressive in-your-face defense with excellent counter attacking skills last weekend.
But as far as the Springboks’ Victor Matfield is concerned, South Africa are not interested in imitating the All Blacks when they meet the Wallabies in Sunday night’s Tri Nations Test at Kings Park.
They instead have their own plan, which they believe will destabilize the Wallabies.
Matfield provided no clues as to what their tactics would be, but stressed the importance of national pride after a depleted Springboks side lost their way in Australia and New Zealand.
South Africa host Australia on Sunday at 3am.
