The Nadi Weather Office confirms that the centre of Tropical Cyclone Lusi is still located over the Northern parts of Vanuatu.
Director Alipate Waqaicelua said Cyclone Lusi is located about 1,200 kilometres West North West of Nadi and is slow moving.
Waqaicelua said it is still a Category 1 and is intensifying.
It is expected to be upgraded to Category 2 cyclone tomorrow but is still expected to be closer to Vanuatu.
Waqaicelua said they are analyzing the system and will update the people of Fiji on any direct or indirect effects this afternoon.
He said strong winds and rain is expected to affect the group from tomorrow.
He added they are keeping a close watch on the system as they have seen forecast tracks change in the past.
