Fiji Labour Party President Lavenia Padarath said they have contingency plans in place since Mahendra Chaudhry will not contest the general elections.

Padarath said they were mainly focusing on Chaudhry’s case.

When asked about the future of the Fiji Labour Party, Padarath said they will have a meeting this weekend and will release a statement on Monday.

Mahendra Chaudhry cannot contest the September 17th election this year as his conviction remains after he was found guilty of three counts of breach of the Exchange Control Act and sentenced yesterday afternoon
