The Russian government has sent a message to the Fiji Government congratulating the people on the occasion of the 41st anniversary of Fiji’s independence.
Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov in his message to his counterpart in Fiji Ratu Inoke Kubuabola, acknowledged the value of the relationship between both countries.
Lavrov said he is confident that joint efforts will help us to succeed in ensuring consistent enhancement of the Russian - Fijian ties in various fields for the benefit of the people of both countries, in the interests of security and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Russian Federation has expressed interests in areas of investment, minerals, energy, tourism, education and medicine.
