Fulton Hogan Highways who are currently resealing parts of Grantham Road have raised concerns on motorists who speed past the repair site.
Fulton Hogan Highways Stabilizing Foreman, Tevita Sasina says they are doing their best to make the road safer and better for motorists but it is difficult to concentrate on their work and worry about traffic speed at the same time.
Sasina says speeding drivers also pose a threat on the lives of the workmen at the site.
He says more than 15,000 vehicles use the Suva thoroughfare daily and this is the first significant repair work in 12 years and should go far in strengthening the road.
