“I am here not to be served, but to serve”
Those are the words of the Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho while delivering his speech during his dedication ceremony this morning at the Police Special Response Unit in Nasinu.
Qiliho says his job is all about service delivery.
Qiliho who took up the post of Acting Police Commissioner on the 11th of November last year was emotional as it was a special day for him and his family.
He was officially appointed by the Constitutional Offices Commission in March this year.
Qiliho says he is also looking into the welfare of the Fiji Police Force and will try to get special constable hours paid off which he has submitted for the 2017 National Budget.
The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, former Commissioners of the Fiji Police Force, Government officials as well as Members of the RFMF were present at the dedication ceremony.
