A number of areas in Viti Levu are still without electricity.

Fiji Electricity Authority has confirmed this.

FEA says it lost its transmissions line from Monasavu due to a lightning strike at around 2pm today.

No time-frame has been given for power restoration.

There was also a power outage for a few hours yesterday and FEA had confirmed that a lightning strike on their tower had caused this.
