The Island Breeze Rugby Plus will again be conducting rugby clinics around the country this month and next month to unveil hidden rugby talents.
Headed by former Vodafone Flying Fijians coach Ilivasi Tabua, the Rugby Plus program has played a huge role in unveiling the talents of Sefanaia Naivalu who went on to secure his contract with the Melbourne Rebels and later joined the Wallabies.
Naivalu started playing rugby at the Natubari Club in Ovalau and was lucky to join the Island Breeze Plus that toured Australia in 2014.
He later joined the Boxhill Rugby Club, Melbourne Rising then the Melbourne Rebels.
Logistic Operation Manager, Malakai Yamaivava says this is a good opportunity for young talents in the islands and remote areas.
Yamaivava says they will be conducting their first clinic at Levuka Town from the 16th to the 20th of this month, in Labasa from the 23rd to the 25th of this month and Ra from the 30th of this month to the 3rd of next month.
The educators will include Ilivasi Tabua, Osea Umuumulovo and Jone Wesele.
Meanwhile the Melbourne Rebels will be having one of their reps with the team alongside the Ministry of Agriculture, Westpac Bank and the Business Development from New Zealand.
