Reports have revealed that Jarryd Hayne reached out to the Paramatta Eels through a third party last week regarding a comeback to the Eels in 2018.
The report comes after Foxsports.com.au revealed last month that a similar approach had been made to the Roosters on Hayne’s behalf during the off‑season.
Hayne has until the end of May to take up a $1.2 million offer to stay on the Gold Coast next year, having endured a raft of controversy and injuries since arriving at the club late last season.
The Paramatta Eels will take on the Cowboys at 8.50pm Friday.
