A 35-year-old man now faces court for a case of assault over a $1 difference in a serve of barbeque.
Mosese Matasiga allegedly assaulted a 41-year-old man in Flagstaff over a serve of barbeque on the 14th of September last year and has been charged with one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Magistrate Deepika Prakash asked Matasiga why he had assaulted the barbeque seller to which he replied that he was selling barbeque for $6 but when he asked for the price of a serve he told Matasiga it was $7.
Matasiga claimed that the board outside Kumar’s stall had said the barbeque was selling at $6.
Magistrate Prakash told him if he was not happy with the price he did not have to buy it.
The case will be called on the 20th of next month.
