Close to 433 people living in Vatiyaka, Ba will soon have 24/7 water supply available in their homes.
The people have experienced disruptions in the supply of clean and safe water on a daily basis and faced a shortage of water during periods of drought.
When contacted by Fijivillage, the Water Authority has confirmed that they have consistently changed pipes to areas over the years.
The authority adds that they have now come up with a more permanent fix by laying 347 lengths of pipe, with proper bedding and backfill material and installation of an air valve key and a 4-inch slice valve.
The Authority says that the project work which will be completed by the end of this month will cost $160,125.00.
