A heavy rain warning has been issued for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the Northern and Eastern Parts of Viti Levu that include Rakiraki, Tavua, Navua, Suva, Nausori and Korovou, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
A trough of low pressure associated with cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji which will affect the country until tomorrow night.
The Weather Office says this will bring periods of rain with heavy showers at times.
People are to expect thunderstorms as well as localized heavy rain that may cause flash flooding in low lying areas.
People have been advised to take necessary precautions.
