A heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the Northern and Eastern Parts of Viti Levu that include Rakiraki, Tavua, Navua, Suva, Nausori and Korovou, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
A trough of low pressure associated with cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji which will affect the country until later tomorrow.
The Weather Office says this will bring periods of rain with heavy showers at times.
A flood warning has also been issued for low lying areas close to streams and rivers in Vanua Levu and Northern, Eastern and interior parts of Viti Levu.
These areas include Nadarivatu, Vatukacevaceva, and from Nasivi to Tavua town.
People are to expect thunderstorms as well as localized heavy rain that may cause flash flooding in low lying areas.
Police have confirmed that access in and out of Rakiraki town is now open.
