There is now confirmation that Caines Jannif Limited’s workshop which deals with picture framing was destroyed in that fire at their warehouse in Carpenter Street in Raiwai on Monday.
Thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment was destroyed in the fire which also left behind damages to the Tissue Manufacturers Warehouse.
Tissue Manufacturers Fiji Limited will confirm later the estimated cost of damages to their warehouse and equipment.
But Caines Jannif Limited CEO Ikbal Jannif has confirmed to us that the National Fire Authority is continuing their investigations and four of their staff have been sent on paid time off.
Flammable materials such as paper, framing timber and flammable liquids within the two buildings resulted in the quick spreading of the fire.
Twelve people were inside the warehouse when the fire started and they were all safely evacuated.
