SODELPA’s General Secretary Adi Litia Qionibaravi has today made it clear that parts of the SODELPA manifesto for the 2018 general election will be announced in Sydney on March 10th.
Some SODELPA parliamentarians and others in the party have raised concern that the manifesto will be launched in Sydney and some say that they did not even know about it until it came up on social media. The parliamentarians would not be able to travel to Sydney for the fundraising event as the next parliament session is from March 5th to 16th.
Some are also raising the question on why the party’s manifesto is not being launched in Fiji.
When questioned by Fijivillage, Adi Litia Qionibaravi says only issues in the party manifesto that deals with people living overseas will be released in the SODELPA event in Sydney.
She also made it clear that only party leader, Sitiveni Rabuka will go to the event in Sydney, and no one else will be going.
Adi Litia also says that SODELPA will talk about different issues in their manifesto at different venues, and Sydney is the first of many.
Fijivillage has been trying to speak to SODELPA Leader Sitiveni Rabuka, however, he has not been responding to our queries.
