The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s team has won their second pool match of the Las Vegas 7s after beating France 33-5.

The national side will meet either New Zealand or Scotland in the quarterfinals.

This was after New Zealand’s 19-26 loss to Argentina earlier today.

Fiji scored five tries to outclass the French with tries from Kalione Nasoko, Mesulame Kunavula, Sevuloni Moceinacagi while Josua Vakurinabili scored twice.

Captain Jerry Tuwai continued his fine leadership setting up three tries while Moceinacagi has been outstanding which put him in contention for the DHL Impact Player Award this weekend.

Fiji was leading 12-5 at halftime.

The national side earlier thrashed Russia 38-0 in their first pool match.

Their final pool match is against Kenya at 8.36am tomorrow.

In other matches, Argentina beat Scotland 21-19, New Zealand defeated Uruguay 28-7, France defeated Kenya 19- 14, USA beat Samoa 26-12, Australia thrashed Spain 24-0, England beat Canada 40-12, South Africa edged Wales 26-21, Scotland beat Uruguay 40 14, while Kenya defeated Russia 19 12. 

The Cup quarters start at 1.26pm tomorrow, the Cup semis will be held at 9.12am on Monday while the Cup final will kick off at 12.30pm Monday
