A student nurse was murdered in a settlement near Labasa Town this morning.

Police Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Vakacegu Toduadua has confirmed that they have taken the husband in custody.

He says according to the initial information, the husband is alleged to have struck his wife with a kitchen knife.

The incident took place near Nasekula Village.
