Hurricanes fullback Jordie Barrett says they are eagerly anticipating their first local derby of the current Super Rugby season against the Crusaders this weekend.
Barrett says his teammates could not wait to finally face off against a fellow Kiwi side.
He says all New Zealand derbies are massive for them.
Barrett also played down his side's superior record against the Crusaders in recent times, with the Hurricanes having emerged victorious in six of the last 10 meetings against one another.
He adds the Crusaders have won their first two games and it will be a massive challenge.
The Hurricanes will play the defending champions the Crusaders at 6.35pm this Saturday.
