The sentencing hearing for Umendra Kumar convicted for one count of abduction and three counts of rape will be held next Wednesday.

The 33-year-old taxi driver had abducted a 14-year-old girl from Nasinu and took her to Nadi, Lautoka and Rakiraki and raped her on three separate days.

The incidents took place on the 11th, 12th and 13th of January 2014.

Kumar has been remanded and the sentencing hearing will be on 14th March, 2018.
