In a bid to provide a sporting opportunity for youth and support grassroots level and village club teams Uluinakau Rugby has confirmed its tournament for the 16th and 17th of this month.
Some premier men’s teams confirmed for the tournament include Navatuvula, Calia, Army Green, Army Red, Congo Waimanu and Army Veivanua.
Six women’s teams will also be competing in the tournament.
The total prize money will be $10,000 where the main winner of the Men’s team will walk away with $5,000 while the remainder of the money will be shared between top place achievers.
Club Manager, Epi Kolinivala says that teams will be using the tournament to test their combination for the Fiji Bitter Marist Sevens which will be held the week after.
The Uluinakau Sevens will be held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori next week Friday and Saturday.
