25-year-old Nick Pope says its every man for himself when it comes to the fight of becoming part of the England squad for the World Cup this summer.

Pope who has been called up for to the international squad for the first time for the forthcoming friendlies against the Netherlands and Italy.

Pope is joined in the squad by Everton's Jordan Pickford, Stoke's Jack Butland and Manchester City's Joe Hart, who is on loan at West Ham.

The 25-year-old says he wants to make it to the team.

Pope has kept more clean sheets and conceded fewer Premier League goals than the other three goalkeepers in Gareth Southgate's squad.

Meanwhile, Manchester City is still 3 wins away from winning the English Premier League title.
