Breach notices have been handed to two spectators who allegedly made offensive comments towards South Sydney star Greg Inglis.

It is alleged racial abuse was directed towards Inglis as he walked off the ground at Panthers Stadium following the round two clash between Rabbitohs and Panthers.

The club and the NRL immediately launched an investigation into the allegations, with Penrith publicly condemning the alleged abuse.

The NRL announced it had handed breach notices to two spectators and the persons now have an opportunity to respond to the notices.

The NRL has not indicated what penalties will be handed down if the spectators are found guilty of the abuse.

Meanwhile, the Rabbitohs will take on the Bulldogs at 5.10pm Friday.
