There is no power supply in Rakiraki.

The Fiji Electricity Authority says their teams worked overnight to inspect, repair and restore power supply to the affected areas after the passing of Cyclone Keni.

FEA Chief Executive Officer, Hasmukh Patel says that there were a lot of faults in the affected areas and they need to ensure that the power lines are thoroughly inspected to identify the faults and hazards before they are repaired and tested prior to the power lines being energized.

Other areas in the Western Division are experiencing power disruptions as a result of a permanent fault where FEA lost connectivity of the Nadarivatu to Vuda 132 kilovolts main transmission line.

Meanwhile, power has been restored to 10% of the areas in Korovou, 30% in Sigatoka, 40% in Tavua, 60% of the areas in Nadi, 70% in Ba, 85% in Nausori, and 98% in Navua.
