The Fiji Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Peter Mazey says that the Chamber has welcomed the 2018/2019 National Budget in a positive way.
Mazey says that not all employees take Paternity Leave, Family Care Leave and Maternity Leave, and the additional leave days has also been balanced with the removal of a public holiday and the 150% tax deduction.
He also says that employees being given paid Family Care and Paternity Leave should be honest and not abuse it.
Mazey says that the budget is forward looking and they are happy that infrastructure continues to get good funding as it is an area that Fiji is still catching up on.
