The second suspect alleged to be involved in the case of the unlawful importation of $40 million worth of illicit drugs and ammunition in Denarau last month is currently being questioned by Police.

45-year-old John Nikolic was discharged from hospital and is now being questioned by Border Police.

His wife, Yvette was further remanded in custody by the Lautoka High Court yesterday.

News.com.au reports that John went into a coma after allegedly consuming a potentially deadly drug cocktail that left him fighting for his life.

John’s mother and brother who is a high‑profile jockey, Danny Nikolic have been constantly visiting him at the Lautoka hospital and were also present at Yvette Nikolic’s court hearing yesterday.

Yvette has been charged with one count of unlawful importation of illicit drugs, one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs and one count of failure to declare arms and ammunition to a customs officer.

It is alleged that Nikolic with another person imported 12.9 kilograms of cocaine and 34.4 grams of methamphetamine and cocaine tablets last month.

It is also alleged that Nikolic with another person failed to declare arms and ammunition to a customs officer whilst arriving into the Denarau Marina in a yacht last month.
