Korbin Sims says his jaw got a decent workout last week and erased any lingering self‑doubt as he targets inspiring Brisbane Broncos towards a top‑four berth of the NRL competition.
The 26‑year‑old’s jaw was broken in a controversial tackle by Dylan Napa in round 11 with the Roosters and he had surgery and a six‑week break, sitting out three matches.
Sims returned last week in their 22‑16 comeback win over the Canberra Raiders.
He has not played in an NRL final despite having 110 first‑grade matches under his belt.
The NRL competition is in round 17 with the Broncos currently sitting at 8th place with 20 points.
Looking at the current table, the Dragons are leading with 26 points, the Storm is in second place with 24 points, the Rabbitohs in third place with 24, the Panthers in fourth place with 22, the Warriors in 5th place in 22, the Roosters in sixth with 20 while the Sharks are in 7th place with 20 points.
The Broncos will take on the Titans at 6.10pm Sunday.
Meanwhile the Panthers will host the Warriors at 9.50 tonight while the Bulldogs will take on the Raiders at 9.35pm tomorrow.
