Enhancing the early years of children's lives is the best investment that society can make to ensure success.
These were the words of the Minister for Local Government Parveen Bala while speaking at the closing of the Early Childhood Education Week celebrations at Navoli Sanatan Kindergarten in Ba.
Bala says government is clear and focused in their belief that an early start to education is important so that no child is deprived of basic education.
He says that overseeing the education and care, health and safety of children was a collective responsibility backed by the Government, which has for the first time allocated the Ministry of Education over $1 billion in its 2018/2019 National Budget.
Bala also urged parents to invest in the early academic life of their children adding that early childhood education provides a lifelong platform for children.
