14 people were charged with a total of 26 counts of separate sexual offences last month, which includes the case of a 11 year old boy who has been charged with the rape of a 3 year old girl.

The Director of Public Prosecutions says there were 25 cases of rape and 1 case of sexual assault in July.

10 victims were under the age of 18 years.

There were 7 incidents where the victims and the accused were related to one another.

In one incident a 19-year-old uncle was charged for allegedly raping his 5-year-old nephew and two 7-year-old nieces.

The DPPs Office says in another incident two men aged 38 and 55 were charged with the rape and sexual assault of their 10 year old niece.

There was one incident were a 55-year-old man was charged for allegedly raping his 21 year old stepdaughter.

The DPPs Office says there were two separate incidents where a 38-year-old grandfather and a 59-year-old granduncle were each charged with the rape of their 6-year-old granddaughter and 12-year-old grandniece.

There was one incident of marital rape in July where a 27-year-old was charged with the rape of his 25-year-old wife and in another incident a 35-year-old man was charged with the rape of his 40-year-old defacto partner.

In a separate incident a 38-year-old man was charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl.

He was also charged with abduction and wrongful confinement. Two men aged 22 and 23-years-old were charged with the rape of a 19-year-old woman and in another incident a 49-year-old man was charged with the rape of a 10-year-old girl.

Four cases were withdrawn.

One case was withdrawn due to the death of the accused and another case was withdrawn as they could not locate the victim while two other cases were withdrawn after complainants admitted to making false statements.
