Escapee Josaia Leone has surrendered himself to the Western Division Taskforce team accompanied by a close relative.

Police say Leone surrendered at around 6pm yesterday and is now in custody at the Lautoka Police Station.

Meanwhile, a woman will be produced in the Lautoka Magistrates court today for allegedly harboring Leone since his escape from police custody last month.

Police say the accused is Leone's partner and information was gathered that the two were staying in a cave up in the Saru Hills.

She was found during a raid conducted by officers.

The woman has been charged with one count of harboring.

Two other escapees Nacanieli Bakata and Ilaitia Vuivuda who were arrested on the 31st of last month are back in police custody.

The remand poisoners had escaped on the 17th of last month.
