Minister for Health Rosy Akbar says that the $30 million Ba Hospital will be operational soon.

She made the comments at Ba’s soccer’s Inkk Mobile BOG celebrations adding that the work on the new hospital was nearing completion.   

Akbar says they are delaying the opening of the hospital because they want the hospital to be operated by an overseas service provider and they want what is best for the hospital and the people.

The hospital is expected to provide better health care services to close to 140,000 people living in greater Ba, Tavua and Rakiraki area.

She adds that the Ba Mission Hospital remains operational.
