Giant All Blacks lock Brodie Retallick earned coach Steve Hansen's praise as he prepares to play his first test for the All Blacks in 2018.
Retallick is expected to start his first test of the year against the Wallabies in Sydney next weekend.
Given he missed the three‑test series against France when they toured New Zealand in June because of a chest injury, Retallick will be eager to add to his 68 test caps, as he partners Sam Whitelock in his 100th test.
The Wallabies will host the All Blacks at 10.05pm next Saturday in Sydney.
