Over the years cancer has steadily increased and in 2017 alone an estimated 1,544 people were diagnosed with cancer.

This was highlighted by Elina Ranadi of Fiji Cancer Society during Bushells Fiji’s Biggest Morning tea hosted by Pacific Centrecom today.

Mereoni Taginadavui who was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer nineteen years ago also spoke of her struggles saying she is not a only survivor but her kids have also survived the brunt of the effects of cancer.

Taginadavui says the battle with cancer is real and any part of the body can get cancer.

She says cancer is a lifestyle disease and prevention is better than cure.

Taginadavui has encouraged people to not only rely on herbal medicines but to seek medical help as well.

Zakreen Khan of Pacific Centrecom says the proceeds collected will be donated to the Fiji Cancer Society.
