The Methodist Church of Fiji’s investment company is expecting $5.8 million in income by December this year.

This was highlighted by the Lako Yani Management Limited General Manager Sereana Qoro in the Methodist Church Conference at the Centenary Church in Suva.

Qoro says that they currently have $1.9 million from the sale of the car park land at Saint Fort Street in Suva.

She says that the remaining income will come from the leasing of the land lots in Kaba Island in Nadroga, Nakadi in Naitasiri and the lots in Nacotu in Ba.

The Methodist Church then agreed to the development of the piece of land that the church owns in Nacotu to sub divide 29 residential lots.

Qoro says that they will soon be announcing as to when they will start with the leasing of the Nakadi land for 99 year leases.

She adds that last year they were expecting to get $750,000 from the land in Kaba but they are so happy now as that the land will be generating $4 million.

Qoro says that their aim is firm and they hope to continue with the growth of the church.
