Operation research in our area of service delivery is very important and we are very keen to develop a robust information system.
These were the words of Permanent Secretary for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Dr Josefa Koroivueta at the signing of a Memorandum of understanding with the Fiji National University that enables FNU to undertake research and provide training for the Ministry for the next three years.
Dr Koroivuta says they need to make sense of the information that comes in adding that the analytical training that will be done by FNU will go a long way to ensure that the Ministry for Women has professional capabilities to undertake this work.
Meanwhile FNU Pro Vice Chancellor, Research Professor Nii-k Plange says the key aspects of the MOU is to work with the Ministry in relation to data analysis, evaluation of projects and where necessary provide training of research and data analysis for some of the Ministry staff.
