The Fiji Roads Authority has clarified that the no entry sign board on Renwick Road in the heart of Suva City is applicable only to buses, trucks and other large vehicles.
FRA says that light vehicles can still make the left turn.
Concerns were raised to Fijivillage about the sign board, where FRA has made it clear that the turning radius at Renwick Road cannot cater for large vehicles, buses and trucks.
FRA says that larger vehicles have to access Renwick Road from Central Street via Victoria Parade and Stinson Parade.
Meanwhile, as part of the new Central Business District traffic layout, the traffic movements along the Stinson Parade – Edward Street – Thomson Street – Central Street block has been reversed from its current route to allow for two lanes along Stinson Parade.
FRA says that this is aimed at reducing traffic congestion and travel time during morning and afternoon peak hours.
