Manchester United Manager Jose Mourinho has reached a deal with Spain on a one‑year suspended sentence in a long‑running tax fraud case.
Mourinho was also fined about 2 million pounds according to Spain's El Mundo newspaper.
The 55-year-old was accused of owing nearly 3.3 million pounds in undeclared image rights revenue for 2011 and 2012 as the Real Madrid manager.
According to Reuters, he is not expected to serve any time in jail because Spanish law states that a sentence of under two years for a first offence can be served on probation.
