18-year-old Scott Wara is ready to make his debut for the Vodafone Fiji Soccer team tonight against the Solomon Islands.
Wara who is from Nausori Nalawa in Ra moved to England at a young age when his dad joined the British Army.
He always had a dream to play for his home country.
Wara says he used to play both rugby and soccer and but he chose soccer as a career when Stoke City selected him.
He joined the Stoke City Academy when he was 14.
Wara is expected to bolster the Fijian backline that already has some good defenders like Kolinio Sivoki and Remuru Takiate.
He started playing as a striker and now he plays as a defender.
Wara added that Roy Krishna is an example for all the players.
This is the first time that Fiji will have two professional soccer players part of a national team.
