Nasinu soccer team coach Nathan Shivam says that he is glad that they will face top teams like Ba, Labasa and Lautoka in the group matches of the Courts IDC this weekend.
Shivam who is best remembered for scoring the winning goal for Suva against Ba in the 2012 Fiji FACT at Govind Park coached Nasinu to qualify to the Premier competition after a long eight years.
He says Nasinu’s results in the Courts IDC will show whether they are ready to face the big boys.
Nasinu has won IDC just once in the 80 year history of the tournament. Their only win came in 1990 when they defeated Suva 1-0 in the final.
The 2018 Courts IDC begins this Friday at the ANZ Stadium and you can catch the live commentaries of the Nasinu‑Labasa match at 3.30pm, Suva‑Nadi match at 6pm and Lautoka‑Ba match at 8pm on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
