Jone Vakarisi Junior has told Suva Magistrate Liyange Wikaramasekara that he is looking for a new lawyer.
Vakarisi, Tevita Bulanaivalu, Ledua Gudru, Sekove Serukalou, Jese Sorovi, Toni Sokoiwasa, Chanel Antonio and Mark Ross have applied for bail.
They appeared in court this morning under heavy police guard.
The eight men are charged with going equipped for theft, criminal intimidation, damaging property and resisting arrest.
They were allegedly involved in the violent attack on police officers in Nabua in August this year.
The bail ruling will be delivered next Friday.
