Three female match officials from Fiji will be officiating at the Oceania 7s next month.
They are Mere Uluinaceva, Lavenia Racaca and Luciana Yavala.
Oceania Rugby Women’s Director, Cathy Wong says that it is a big achievement.
Wong says this year there will be 80 women that will be part of the workforce for the tournament.
There are 8 Women’s teams that will be playing in the tournament that include, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, PNG, New Caledonia, Nauru and Cook Islands.
Oceania Rugby will be working with UN Women to promote an equal playing field to address gender inequality and ending violence against women at all levels of society.
The Oceania 7s will be played from the 9th November at the ANZ Stadium.
