Blues coach Tana Umaga is welcoming the return of Ma'a Nonu to his side, with the World Cup winning ex‑All Black linking up with his former mentor next season.
36 year old Nonu will rejoin the Blues in 2019, having played for the Auckland side in both 2012 and 2014.
Speaking to Blues TV, Umaga couldn't hide his delight at having Nonu in his side for the upcoming season.
Umaga also said he is looking forward to unleashing the combination of Nonu, and All Blacks star Sonny Bill Williams.
Super Rugby's organising body Sanzaar have confirmed the dates for the 2019 Super rugby season which will start on Friday 15 February.
