36yr‑old Kritesh Kumar’s trial today began in the Suva High Court.
Kumar is charged with three counts of being in possession of unlawful drugs and a count of illegal cultivation of marijuana.
State lawyer, Juleen Fatiaki in her opening address today said that states case is really simple and six officers will be brought in to give evidence in court.
She also revealed in court that Kumar lives in Nasinu and drives a taxi for a living.
She said that he was found in possession of 1.4 kg of methamphetamine and marijuana on the 31st of October last year.
Fatiaki said he was also found cultivating marijuana on the said date.
The trial continues before High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe.
