The Water Authority of Fiji has launched an investigation regarding the suspected theft of 29 air-valves from their chambers in Nadi and Ba.

Water Authority says that 20 air-valves was uninstalled from their chambers in Nadele to Votualevu Rice Mill, Malakua to Danny’s shop in Korovuto Nadi.

The remaining 9 was removed from their chambers in Varaciva and Waiwai areas in Ba.

They says that the matter has been refereed to Police.

Meanwhile, Water Authority crew members are currently in the process of replacing the valves by transporting 10 valves from Suva to Nadi.

Sekove Uluinayau the Water Authority General Manager Customer Services is pleading with members of the public in Nadi and Ba area to come forward with information if they have regarding the alleged theft.
