All Blacks captain Kieran Read has reportedly been offered a $2 million‑a‑year deal to play in Europe after next year's Rugby World Cup.
A French publication reports that the deal comes after the 33‑year‑old revealed earlier this month he was likely to leave NZ rugby after next year's tournament so that he and his family could have an overseas experience together.
At the conclusion of next year's tournament, Read will have played his third World Cup with at least two victories in 2011 and 2015.
Read first captained the All Blacks in 2012, doing so another eight times before he took over full time from Richie McCaw in 2016.
