The Fiji Airways Men’s National 7's team will face South Africa in the 5th place final after defeating Argentina 31-21.
Argentina started with a bang scoring a try straight after kick off while Amenoni Nasilasila scored Fiji’s first try in the first minute.
Alosio Naduva sped past the Argentine defenders to score the second try in the far corner in the third minute giving Fiji an early lead of 12-7.
Waisea Nacuqu showed some lovely footwork crossing the tryline for Fiji’s third try in the fourth minute while Alosio Naduva scored his second try of the match before the halftime break.
Fiji came in to the second half with a lead of 24-7.
Argentina opened up the second half with a try in the 1st minute while Nacuqu scored only try in the second half adding to Fiji’s lead 31-14.
Argentina then took advantage of a Red Card to Nasilasila for a dangerous tackle to score the last try of the match.
Fiji will now face South Africa at 3.40am.
Meanwhile New Zealand will take on USA in the final of the Dubai 7s at 4.29am.
This was after New Zealand beat England in a narrow lead of 7-5 while USA defeated Australia 22-17.
