The New Zealand All Blacks 7s team has won the Dubai 7s after defeating USA 21‑5 in the final.

They last won the Dubai 7s in 2009.

The All Blacks 7s team scored 3 converted tries in the match completely shutting down speedsters Perry Baker and Carlin Isles.

Tone Shiu scored New Zealand’s first try in the 5th minute of the first half whil Dylan Collier and Ngarohi McGarvey both scored a try each in the second half.

USA’s try came from Stephen Tomasin in the 3rd minute of the second half.

New Zealand now leads the World 7s series table standings with 22 points followed by USA with 19 points, England is 3rd e with 17 points while Australia sits in 4th place with 15 points.

Fiji is in 5th place with 13 points while South Africa is in 6th place with 12 points.

The next leg of the series will be held in Cape Town from next Saturday to next Sunday.

Fiji is in Pool C with England, France and Kenya.
